Torry Holt Jersey

Torry Holt was born on June 5, 1976 in Greensboro, North Carolina. Although Holt is not as big and fast as some of the other wide receivers in the NFL, he has displayed his top notch skills for many years. Known to many as the nickname “Big Game” this suits him well. It is safe to say that if his team needs a big catch that he will come up with it in one way or the other.

Holt decided to attend North Carolina State University after high school, and this ended up being a very good decision for him. During his time at the school Holt compiled impressive numbers, and was named the ACC Offensive Player of the Year after his senior season in 1998. During that season he caught 88 balls for more than 1,604 yards. He also caught 16 touchdown passes that season; a North Carolina State record.

The St. Louis Rams selected Holt with the sixth overall pick in the 1999 NFL Draft. Since his rookie season he has been impressing fans, teammates, and of course other teams in the league. As a rookie Holt established himself as one of the best players in the league by catching 53 balls for 788 yards. He was also an integral part in leading the Rams to a victory in Super Bowl XXXIV.

Ever since his rookie season Holt has been performing as one of the best wide receivers in the league. His career statistics speak for themselves. In eight seasons with the Rams he has 712 receptions for 10,675 yards. He also has 64 touchdowns to round out his stats.

Anybody who knows football has a good idea of what Torry Holt is all about. It is safe to say that he has plenty of more years of service to lend the St. Louis Rams.
